My visit to what I consider paradise

I was finally able to take a much needed mini vacation and escape to what I consider a little piece of paradise...and how can there be a paradise without a beautiful beach with crystal clear water, mountains and an island...my little piece of paradise is called Culebra, and it's an island off the coast of Puerto Rico. This is only my second time visiting it, and I should be ashamed since I was born and raised in PR and visit at least 2 times a year, but the first time that I visited it captivated me. I have visited many, many beaches in my lifetime, granted that many of them have been in the US and PR, but this one I consider the best ever.

The island is filled with nature, only locals roam the streets, everyone is very welcoming and has not yet developed to be a high trafficked tourist destination which is the best. In the island you will not find big resorts, fast food restaurants or crazy nightlife, since most places are closed by 11 p.m due to a local law, but this place is heaven, a place where you can disconnect from the world, be relaxed, enjoyed the beach, hike, explore every corner of the island in just half a day and forget about everything else.

For those of you who have not had the opportunity to visit this paradise on earth, here are a few of my own photos, even though they don't give justice to its beauty.  Enjoy!
